Transfer to JLD
Welcome to Dallas! Whether you’re new to the city or returning home, we’re thrilled you’re considering transferring your Junior League membership to the Junior League of Dallas. With a legacy of over 100 years, nearly 4,000 members, and more than 100,000 annual volunteer hours, JLD is one of the largest and most impactful Leagues in the Association.
We are a diverse, dynamic group of women who lead with purpose and serve with passion—and we can’t wait to welcome you into our community.
How to Transfer
To begin your transfer, contact your current League and request a transfer through the AJLI e-Transfer system. Please provide your current League with:
Your full name
New Dallas address
Phone number and email
Your current status (Active, Provisional, or Sustainer)
Once AJLI processes your request, you’ll receive a confirmation email. The Junior League of Dallas will then be notified, and our team will reach out to you to complete your transfer, including finalizing your member profile and payment of any required fees or dues.
Your transfer is considered complete once your profile is finalized and any fees and dues are paid.

If dues for the current administrative year have not been to the former League, full dues will be paid to the Junior League of Dallas.
- An incoming Transfer whose effective date of transfer falls between Jan. 1 and June 30 owes no annual dues for the current administrative year, but shall pay a full year’s annual dues for the upcoming administrative year.
Active Transfer Requirements
Active Transfers
JLD welcomes Active Transfers throughout the year. Based on your transfer date, you’ll be placed in one of three Transfer Classes: Summer/Fall, Winter, or Spring. All Active Transfers complete a Transfer Course to help you meet fellow members, engage in League life, and get acquainted with JLD culture.
All requirements must be completed by May 31 of your Transfer year, which is the end of the regular Junior League of Dallas administrative year. You’ll become a regular Active member after completing your course. Our Transfer Committee will guide you every step of the way.
To learn more about what it means to be an Active Member, visit the Membership page.
Provisional Transfer Requirements
The Junior League of Dallas Provisional Class begins meeting in May each year. If your transfer is completed by July 15, you will join the current year’s Provisional Class. If your transfer is completed after, that date you will be considered a Provisional-in-Holding until the following year’s class begins. The Junior League of Dallas staff member that completes your transfer will share your information with the Provisional Committee as soon as your profile is complete. The Provisional Committee will contact you at the email address provided with your transfer regarding the Provisional year as soon as details and information becomes available.
Sustainer Transfer Requirements
Sustainers are not required to fulfill any requirements but can participate in many fun programs, events, and activities. Once your transfer is complete, the Junior League of Dallas staff member who assisted you in your transfer will share your contact information with the Sustainer Transfer Chair. Once notified, a member of the Sustainer community will reach out to you to provide further information.
