JUNIOR LEAGUE OF DALLAS (JLD) TO HOST ITS CENTENNIAL GALA,
APRIL 23, 2022, AT THE HILTON ANATOLE HOTEL
DALLAS – February 2, 2022 – The Junior League of Dallas (JLD) will hold its Centennial Gala, presented by Sewell Automotive Companies, on April 23, in the Chantilly Ballroom at the Hilton Anatole Hotel. JLD Centennial Co-chairs Andrea Cheek and Margo Goodwin are planning a spectacular once-in-a-lifetime celebration to honor JLD’s 100-year anniversary. The 1920s Art Nouveau-inspired evening will include dinner, dancing, big board auction, raffle and other fun surprises to celebrate JLD’s rich history of service in the Dallas community.
“The Centennial Gala will truly be the celebration of the century! We will be honoring JLD’s legacy and also recognizing our members, sponsors, leadership and the nonprofit agencies we have supported since our inception,” says JLD Centennial Co-chair Margo Goodwin. “We are grateful to our many sponsors and donors for their support in making this event possible and know it will be an evening to remember!”
Patrons will be treated to a Centennial exhibit available to view throughout the evening. Guests will also enjoy dancing to the lively music of Stratosphere, a 16-piece dance band performing under Jordan Kahn, sponsored by Dallas Southwest Osteopathic Physicians (DSWOP). There will be a raffle with items such as a $5,000 gift card to Central Market, a $5,000 PlainsCapital debit card, a $5,000 Dillard’s gift card, a $5,000 dress credit to Patti Flowers and a Bachendorf’s Lisa Nik necklace valued at $4,620. Raffle tickets will be available for $25 each, or five for $100. Tickets are available for purchase at Centennial Milestones Luncheon and Centennial Gala and will continue to be sold throughout the evening of the Gala. (Updated April 16, 2022)

The Centennial Gala will be accompanied by the Milestones Luncheon as part of JLD’s Centennial celebration week. The Milestones Luncheon will take place April 21 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel, and will feature keynote speaker Martha Stewart. The JLD also will honor Mrs. Laura Bush with its Lifetime Achievement Award and Veletta Forsythe Lill with the 2022 Sustainer of the Year award during the luncheon.
