Hall of State at Fair Park

This fall, the Junior League of Dallas will host an interactive exhibit of our history and impact on Dallas at the Hall of State at Fair Park during the 2021 State Fair of Texas, which runs from Sept. 24 through Oct. 17.

Fair visitors will see an exciting showcase of JLD’s 100 years of “Legacy of Leadership, Devotion to Dallas” and the women who made so much happen. Through historical documents, memorabilia and photos, the exhibit will share our story – from the earliest days of the League to now. It explores our community impact, legacy of building women leaders and signature projects that have strengthened our community for decades.

“The Centennial team and our members have been working passionately to bring the history of the League back to life,” said Centennial Co-chair Andrea Cheek. “There are so many stories to be told, and it has been inspiring to see all of the work the Junior League of Dallas has done around Dallas over the last 100 years.”

The exhibit is presented by a generous donation from Sewell Automotive Companies and important  gifts from the late Dee Torbert, HEB/Central Market and Scottish Rite Hospital.

“The Sewell family’s continued, generous support over the years has allowed the League and our trained volunteers to truly build a better Dallas,” Centennial Co-chair Margo Goodwin said. “We are excited to partner with them on this special exhibit during the State Fair of Texas and all of the once-in-a-lifetime events in celebration of the Junior League of Dallas’ Centennial.
